It is not a new best-seller, it is actually about a real story: starting December, 1st, 2022, Famatech company has purchased the goodwill of Emile Janique, a French company with an outstanding history which started 129 years ago, in 1893.
„Founded in 1893 by M. Toillon and M. Janique, the company has gone through 100 years of industrial development while keeping leather as its preferred material. The manufacture of seals and protective bellows has never been interrupted since that date, ranging from single parts to mass production. Taken over in 1993 by M. Yann Fèvre, the company labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) continues to evolve every day through the new performance and quality requirements of the industrial environment to reveal the advantages of leather seals and bellows."
Ever since its foundation, Emile Janique has innovated in order to become European leader as leather components manufacturer for the industry. With a production of over 250.000 seals, bellows, belts, cuffs and other leather products each year, the company is a reliable partner for actors in the industries such as the aeronautics, railway, automobile, agriculture, leather goods, but also for individuals.
Like M. Fèvre said in the announcement of his retirement, the moment came for Emile Janique to „turn the page" and for Famatech to take over the honor to write a new page, in continuing both a special tradition and an unique "savoire faire".
We, Famatech, we have already built a reputation for 18 years, among our European customers and for the ones outside EU borders, as a manufacturer of PVC/silicone bellows, Sewn bellows, Folded bellows, Ringed bellows, Textile flexible connections - cuffs and compensators, Bulk charging systems, Big-Bag loading/unloading stations and as Waterjet cutting services provider. So, our challenge now is to integrate in our range of products, or rather yet to complete it with protections, industrial components and bellows made of leather. And, more than that, we also provide a wide range of seals and gaskets in various materials (asbestos-free): elastomers (NBR / EPDM / FKM / PTFE, etc.), foam, cork, leather, copper, aluminum, etc. including an innovative material, DONIFLEX G-LD or G11, 3 mm.
The know-how acquiring process has already taken place in France with the participation of Famatech's employees and will continue with the full support of Emile Janique's representatives. The first machinery and equipment have arrived to our factory in Romania and our intention is for the production to continue and to offer the same quality that customers are already accustomed with.
This takeover has evolved in the most natural way, first of all because it happened between people who think alike. This came also as a confirmation of our belief that business takes place between people, not between companies. And another important aspect which came to strengthen this process was the fact that both companies' efforts are directed towards offering their clients the best possibly adapted solution according to their needs, even if this means doing everything we can and then to constantly try to overcome that limit.
